Sales Manager – Government Relations & Business Travel

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out monthly objectives + targets and submit them to Director of Sales and Marketing
Achieve set targets
Review monthly sales reports with Director of Sales and Marketing
Record and document all call reports and contracts
Proactively seek for potential clients
Conduct site inspections, FAM trips and presentations to clients
Plan and conduct special sales activities and promotions
Control fulfillment of sales short and long term plans and actions
Develop and improve relationships with all potential / existing accounts
Generate new business from specified target markets
Undertake research to proactively seek business for need periods
Represent Hotel at any exhibition, meeting etc. where necessary
Daily review of arrival report
Follow up on any leads generated by Front Office, Global Sales Office etc.
Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the product, department and company
Understand USPs of the hotel, market & competitive set
Participate in networking, business and other events when required
Perform any additional duties deemed necessary by the management
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
University education.
Experience in the same role: 2-3 years.
Fluent English.
Advanced computer user.
Client-oriented.
Strong communications skills.
Presentation skills.
The energy and enthusiasm to deal with campaigns.
The ability to work to deadlines and cope with the consequent pressure.
Self-confidence to sell ideas.
Highly organized.
