The Embassy of Malaysia in Baku, Azerbaijan is seeking qualified candidates for the following post:

DRIVER

Among the duties of the successful candidate will be:

• To drive without influence;
• To open/close the vehicle’s door for Ambassador;
• To attach ‘car flag‘ is attached to the official car if driving the Ambassador to appointment / function / reception;
• To detach‚‘car flag‘ is detached once Ambassador is safe and secure back at the Official Residence / Chancery;
• To ensure the cleanliness of the vehicles by, daily washing and waxing of vehicles and daily vacuuming of vehicles;
• To conduct daily inspection of the overall condition of the vehicles by checking tyre and fuel pressure, air-conditioning and sound system, checking conditions of brakes, lights and signal lightsand ensuring that fuel is adequate at all times;
• To advice on the overall condition of the vehicle at least once a week and to immediately inform if there is any problem;
• To ensure that scheduled and routine mantenance is performed on time;
• To ensure that the insurance of the vehicles is paid on time;
• To constantly check with on the Weekly Programme and give appropriate advice of on departure time to be on time for the appointment / function / reception;
• To do ‘recce‘ visit of the venue for appointment / function / reception at least one day before the event
• To drive / escort official to appointment / function / reception; and
• To update vehicle Log Book before the end of work day

Successful candidates, should at minimum, possess the following capabilities:

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Azeri;
• Valid Driving license;
• Is a positive minded, dynamic and a team player; and
• Has good interpersonal skills.
