Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and evaluate suppliers in local and international markets, including price analysis and benchmarking.
• Place purchase orders, monitor supply chain processes, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage supply orders: placement, tracking, reporting, and closure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and long-term cooperation.
• Liaise with logistics and finance departments to ensure smooth flow of goods and accurate invoicing.
• Resolve issues related to defective or non-compliant goods and coordinate returns or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procurement standards.
• Maintain up-to-date procurement records and documentation.

Essential requirements & skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Good knowledge of tracking, planning, and scheduling.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of 1C, SAP, Oracle,
• COINS or other procurement software is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of contract terminology, competitive bidding, purchase orders, and vendor relationship management.
• Languages: Azerbaijani (fluent), English (fluent), Russian (good).
• Personal skills: detail-oriented, strong negotiation abilities, collaborative team player.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
