International Oil and Gas Services Company is hiring for the position of Fitter.
 
Title of the position: Fitter
 
Job description

The main duties of the successful candidate will be:
 
• To carry out the assembly/refurbishment of components to the requirements stipulated on the route sheets;
• To carry out pressure testing to the approved standards;
• To maintain and be responsible for the housekeeping of the work area;
• To be responsible for ensuring all work is undertaken in a safe manner and in line with company health and safety guidelines/policies;
• To diligently attend any training courses specified by the company;
• To accurately book direct hours worked on Kronos system in accordance with company procedures;
• To review planned hours against Actual hours on route sheets and timely notification of variances;
• To assess each task on commencement of work and take decisions to stop or carry on with allocated work in line with Health and Safety guidelines/legislation;
• To reflect and promote company responsibility, integrity, excellence, collaboration and innovation.
 
Requirements

• Minimum Apprentice Trained in Technical Subject;
• Product Knowledge would be advantageous;
• Awareness and competent in mechanical handling (LOLER), Manual handling and associated HS&E activities;
• Awareness of statutory (e.g. HASAWA and COSHH) and organizational requirements and ensuring that policies and procedures related to this are adhered to;
• A good understand of HSE related legislation;
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
