International Oil and Gas Services Company is hiring for the position of Operations Engineer.
 
Title of the position: Operations Engineer
 
Job description

The main duties of the successful candidate will be:
 
• Coordinate equipment logistics operations and service support personnel;
• Document non-conformances in the field via the Field Performance Reporting (FPR) system;
• Interface with subcontractors to ensure that offshore activities are met;
• Single point of contact for offshore technical queries;
• Provide input into operational procedures;
• Managing the offshore execution activities required to support the project schedule, identifying the critical path issues and developing mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery;
• Development of effective working relationships with Customer representative(s);
• Identify project changes to the original scope and create Change Requests for approval internally and externally, in order to maximize profit;
• Leading the assigned Service team, the Operations Engineer will motivate, take accountability for actions taken and develop a team working approach;
• Provide maintenance reports and spares usage of rental equipment;
• Provide reporting information for both internal and external use (customer specific reports) on a weekly / monthly basis;
• Participate in internal or external project review meetings;
• Ensure Health, Safety, Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to;
• Provide the workshop with technical feedback as and when required;
• Develop engineering drawings as and when required in both AutoCad and Inventor.
 
Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering body;
• Working knowledge of product use and limitations;
• Ability to work to deadlines;
• Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills;
• Problem solving ability;
• Commercial awareness;
• Leadership skills to include ability to motivate colleagues;
• PC skills to include, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SAP, AutoCAD and Inventor;
• Have the initiative & ability to work by themselves and as part of a team;
• Working knowledge of the offshore environment.
