Lead Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing and procuring goods and services within the oil and gas industry or related sectors. This role requires a strong negotiator with excellent communication and computer skills to manage supplier relationships, analyse data, and deliver exceptional results under pressure in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure a wide range of goods and services, including Oil and Gas Equipment, Consumables, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Equipment, and related components.

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate optimal contracts.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with latest industry standards.

• Utilize data analytics to track procurement performance, identify cost- saving opportunities, and generate comprehensive reports.

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and deliver procurement solutions that align with business objectives.

• Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks through proactive measures and contingency planning.

• Sales Support: Leverage your mechanical engineering knowledge to support sales activities, including technical consultations with clients. Assist the sales team in understanding and communicating the technical aspects of our products, helping to match client needs with the right solutions.

• Technical Support in Procurement: Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate mechanical equipment and components. Provide technical insights and recommendations to ensure that procured items meet quality, performance, and cost requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of procurement experience in the oil and gas industry or similar Engineering related sectors.

• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve  targets.

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

• Procurement Knowledge: Experience in procurement processes, including sourcing, evaluating, and selecting goods and services, according to the latest standards and engineering practices.

• Advanced Excel Knowledge, Strong Computer skills, including proficiency in procurement software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to analyze technical data and make informed decisions.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non- technical stakeholders.

• Language Skills: English and Azerbaijan languages.

Additional languages such as Russian, Spanish, Turkish and German are a big leverage for increased wages and chances of securing the job.
