Caspian Investment and Development Corporation (“CIDC Baku LLC”) is embarking on a major project in the production of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and the production of raw materials to facilitate this strategy with the development of a new plant.

Following successful commencement of Production the Baku based state of the art manufacturing works requires the assembly of a project team with high skill, proven potential and the ability to drive the vision of CIDC. 

We are currently seeking Head of Legal Department to join the Company.

The duties will include (but not limited to):

• Effective management of Legal department
• Being responsible for all major Corporate legal matters
• Advising on liability and legal exposure for the business.
• Preparing all project contractual documentation including major International purchasing contracts, Sales and tender documents
• Preparation and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Coordinate legal department to be sure that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted.
• Taking decisive actions on various legal matters and assessing contentious and uncontroversial issues.
• Keeping contact with the different authorities and governmental organization for Legal issues
• Provide risk management and legal protection advice to Senior Management
• Assessing and advising effectively to minimize and control risks to company and ensuring that the system, controls and processes are appropriate as relevant.
• Representing the company in ensuring the efficient handling of all negotiations and disputes.
• Advising and ensuring the business in compliance with the necessities of legislation involving data protection.
• Preparation of monthly reports for Senior Management
• Providing necessary legal training sessions for Management and relevant departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• University degree in Corporate Law (International background is an advantage).
• At least 7-10 years of practical experience at the International companies
• Fluent in English, Azeri and Russian
• Self starting person, taking responsibilities and initiatives
• Deliver high quality and ultimate work
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
