Caspian Investment Development Corporation (CIDC Baku LLC) is the leading quality manufacturer of hygiene products as baby diapers, household tissue products, and industrial/commercial tissues in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region.
Following successful commencement of production the Baku based state of the art manufacturing works requires the assembly of a highly motivated team with skills, proven potentials and the abilities to drive the vision, mission and values of the Company.
We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant position.
The duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Prepare and update Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual for local reporting purposes;
• Ensure timely closing of reporting periods and timely preparation of statutory information for tax purposes
• Define accounting treatment of various technical issues and implement the approved treatment;
• Work with the various departments to coordinate the proper flow of accounting information and resolve issues on an on-going basis.
• Cooperate with other departments on issues relevant to the accounting and tax. Support other departments on questions concerning VAT, invoices and other tax-related issues.
• Ensure proper reconciliations, checks and error detection procedures are in place.
• Tax Accounting
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation and local accounting and reporting requirements in all aspects
• Ensure timely submission of tax filings to the tax authorities by pre-determined deadlines;
• Manage tax planning and tax optimization activities within the framework of applicable legislation;
• Perform regular reviews (at appropriate circumstances by involving a professional tax consultant) to identify tax risks and suggest solutions to minimize and/or eliminate the risks;Monitor changes in tax and other applicable legislation to ensure continuous compliance with tax and other relevant laws and regulations
• Ensure Payroll is completed including payment of state taxes
• Manage tax and other local audits and examinations, liaison with tax authorities
• Set goals for and monitor the performance of staff in the accounting department in line with the Company policies;
• Ensure compliance of staff in the accounting department with all Company policies and procedures;
• Educate, train and support develop the staff;
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in a related field is required
• Knowledge of applicable tax legislation and local accounting and reporting requirements is a must
• University education in finance, accounting and/or other related business disciplines with related qualifications (ACCA/IFRS)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
• Experience with one 1C programme
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English
