Systems Administrator (Windows, SQL, VMware)

Job summary:

Successful candidate’s responsibilities will include administration and support of Windows servers and systems, management and support of Active Directory, installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows 2008 / 2012 servers,  management, creation, and support of VMware 5.0 / 5.1 virtual servers, installing, backing up, testing, securing and making changes to production and pre-production databases within an IT environment.

Requirements:

• Hands on experience building and configuring Windows 2008 /2012 servers
• Strong knowledge of 2008 R2 and 2012 Terminal server
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008 / 2012
• Strong knowledge of vMwarevSphere and virtualized environments
• Expert knowledge of and experience with Active Directory in large corporate environment
• Expert knowledge of and experience with IP Services (DNS, DHCP, Global DNS) in large corporate environment
• Expert understanding of TCP/IP principles and LAN technology and use of network capture utilities
• Excellent customer service and communication (oral / written) skills required
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution of all services listed above

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of Exchange 2007/2010
• Knowledge of SharePoint services
• Knowledge of T-SQL
• Advances knowledge of scripting (VBscript, Powershell, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related systems administration experience.
• Experience and/or expertise in supporting enterprise-level Microsoft Server 2008 environments
• Microsoft and vMware certification
