Sales Engineer
Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for technical sales support within a GeoMarket or region, usually for a specific production group. He/She brings their segment technologies and solutions to the customer and usually works from customer’s office. The Sales Engineer establishes lasting professional relationships with their customers and maintains a deep understanding of the technology and its solutions applicable to the customer.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Recognizes, communicates and leverages potential opportunities for business growth.
• Understands customer’s local environment and identifies new technical applications suited to their needs.
• Provides technical support and participates in marketing and sales activities within the customer organization.
• Ensures that customer problems arising from technology are responded to and appropriately managed.
• Establishes professional relationships with customers.
• Listens for opportunities for their and other segments/product lines. Listens for market and competitive intelligence.Informs Schlumberger via management and CRM.
• Coordinates with sales and operations to execute the project as designed.
• Performs invoicing and receivables collection activities as required.
