The job holder should maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a safe condition and should ensure that equipment & maintenance records are being maintained.

Main responsibilities
- Execution of laboratory test routines in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with documented Company and industry procedures.
- Preparation of laboratory reports.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a safe and functional condition. Completion of equipment maintenance records. Ensure adequate stocks of spares and consumables are maintained.
- Calibration of laboratory equipment and completion of equipment calibration records.
- Safe use and control of all laboratory samples, chemicals and reagents in line with current health and safety legislation and Company procedures.
- Maintain laboratory test records in accordance with Company procedures.
- General housekeeping duties to maintain the laboratory work areas in a safe and presentable manner at all times.
- Assists senior personnel in providing results to internal/external customers.
- Communicates results to supervisor in a detailed manner.
