Procurement Coordinator, Azerbaijan

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is one of the leaders of global tobacco market. JTI produces about 90 world-known cigarette brands including top-selling Winston, Camel and Mild Seven.

We are pleased to open the position of a Procurement Coordinator based in Baku.

Main responsibilities:

• Suppliers sourcing and market analyses in Azerbaijan for all procurement categories. Identification, evaluation and minimization of risks regarding sourcing initiatives and vendor relationship;
• Preparation of tender documentation, conducting and analyses of tenders and presentation of tender results to PPO Manager for approval. Periodic reporting of savings under her/his responsibility;
• Negotiations with suppliers and internal requesters regarding terms and conditions of purchases, suppliers offers analyses in compliance with internal approaches and rules;
• Evaluation of local vendors and maintenance of performance reports;
• Update management on current trends and offer initiatives of purchasing process.
• Perform a spend analysis for Azerbaijan market and on a semiannual basis send it to PPO Manager;
• To perform other tasks assigned by PPO manager / Finance Manager.

Requirements:

• Education:  University degree;
• Work experience: Over 2 years’ experience in purchasing (preferable in international company) Understanding of legal and financial framework, experience of working on contracts, solution oriented individual;
• Languages skills: fluency in Azeri, strong English and Russian (written and spoken);
• Computer Proficiency: Advanced PC user, Knowledge of 1C (ERP) program is a plus;
• Personal characteristics: Good negotiation skills, Flexibility, Persistency, Time management and respect of schedule, Initiative, Team player.
