AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Senior Piping Engineer

The successful candidates should have:

• At least 10 years experience with the oil, gas and chemical industry
• Fully conversant with PDMS Design, Draft, Navisworks (piping package), knowledge of the structural package an advantage.
• High level of personal computer literacy
• Fully conversant with current technology appropriate for a given assignment
• Minimum of 10 years experience of engineering design.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• To assist the principal engineer in the technical direction and to manage, supervise and/or execute piping engineering and design activities.
• To develop and prepare designs and engineering pertaining to the activities aspects of the Piping scope of work defined for a particular contract.
• Responsible for the technical direction and control of the Piping Engineering Team on a project Degree or equivalent qualifications essential
•  To be engaged as a job responsible Engineer on a project and undertake corporate functions as well. This may also include Project Engineering as and when required. Including preparation of discipline project estimates and planning input.
• Fully understanding the business objectives of the company and to convey them to assigned staff
•  Understand obligations and ensure that all staff are aware of their obligations under Statutory Instruments, regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure that all staff are working to the Company procedures, specifications, standards and any project specific addenda
• Regularly review and assist in the updating of procedures, specifications and standards
• Act as training mentor for graduates and technical trainees
• Recommend improvements to company procedures
• Take part in transferring technology and experience gained to others
• Prepare man-hour estimates, cost estimates, manpower histograms and planning schedules for area of project responsibility
• Undertake technical and safety audits
• Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities (ref. SHEQ Responsibilities attached) are adhered to and understood
