AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Mechanical Technician (National).

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Interpret job card requirements, plan the work, organize equipment/materials and work permits
• Understand and respond appropriately to the requirements of other disciplines
• Operate effectively as part of a multi disciplined team
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
• Effective planning of own work in conjunction with the work of the team as a whole
• Maintain, clear and tidy work area during and after completion of tasks
• Complete task and defect sheets
• Provide written reports as required
• Sourcing spares/materials
• Assist in all areas of field operations when required
• Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities are adhered to and understood
• Work in hazardous areas under ‘permit to work’ regulations.
• Install, replace and test equipment according to diagram specifications
• Identify equipment
• Responsible for installation and testing of equipment
• Responsible for working from drawing with ability to read and write to diagrams
• Work to recognized standards / procedures / codes of practice.
• Responsible for fault diagnosis and rectification using initiative.
• Carry out installation , mounting and connecting of equipment
• GOC (Test Records)
• Knowledge of equipment for use in hazardous areas
