AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Construction Engineer.

The successful candidates should have:

• To demonstrate capabilities having successfully executed similar projects
• Must be able to work within and manage teams of multi-discipline and multi-cultural personnel
• Displays positive safety attitude
• To have a good understanding of construction design, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable
• Must understand inter-discipline relationships
• Computer literate

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• To act as Construction engineer responsible for safe and effective coordination of all construction activities  both onshore and offshore associated with ECMS contract
• To support the safe management of the preparation and execution of construction related aspects of the ECMS Brownfield  projects inclusive of associated vendors and sub-contractors
• To support a multi-disciplined & multi-national construction team in delivering the work scope in accordance with the applicable specifications, procedures that apply and in a safe and efficient manner within the planned target dates
• To provide shared learning and transfer of knowledge & experience in coaching national personnel
• Liaison with the design team to ensure constructability input is built into the design and that the detail design is installation friendly and in line with construction priorities

• To be the  support Engineer  to the Construction focal point on delivery of construction related work scopes on behalf of Project Engineer / Delivery Lead
• To safely coordinate the supervision and management of implementation of the offshore construction programme and work activities, including construction personnel, plant, equipment, sub-contractors and other support necessary to achieve the agreed construction schedules in line with operating procedures and specifications
• Ensure that all personnel are aware of/implement safe working practices/procedure and are provided with a safe working environment
• To act as a coach to national personnel by inputting and delivering the nationalisation programme

• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities are understood and adhered to
• Manage all daily work of construction personnel and schedules with liaison to offshore
• To Liaise with the design team to ensure constructability input is built into the design and that the detail design is installation friendly and in line with the construction priorities
• To liaise with the planning engineer, report progress against the plan,
• Ensures that relevant  project  procedures have been read and understood within area of work
• Monitor progress and ensure productive and non productive man-hours are in line with project estimate
• To study and asses the relevant drawings, specifications and instructions for specific area of responsibility.
• To verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the Project Engineer of any deficiencies or clarifications needed
• To ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are adhered to in accordance with both ATA and  AIOC Quality Systems
• To review, in co-operation with the Construction Coordinator and agree the overall construction related programme including sub contractors programmes. To identify any problem areas in the programmes, discuss with the Construction Coordinator and agree a solution
• To ensure that construction sub-contractors programmes are produced and monitored in accordance with the requirements of the contract
• To ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, plant, equipment, scaffolding etc required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour
• To maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with the AMEC Senior Supervisor at site or offshore and sub contract site representatives
