The Social Fund for Development of IDPS (SFDI) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an implementing agency for “IDPs Living Standards and Livelihoods Project” financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Government of Azerbaijan, announces the following vacancy:

- Assistant to Technical Supervision Manager

Requirement and Qualifications:
Education
University / master degree in the area of civil engineering or closely related field;

Experience and Knowledge
At least 5 years of professional progressively responsible experience in construction and/or building design, particularly in planning and supervision of construction sites or projects;
Good knowledge of national construction norms and standards on community basic infrastructure and national building legislation is required;
Practical experience of working in implementing rural infrastructure development projects will be a strong advantage;
At least 3 years of working with IDP people would be strongly recommended;

Other Skills
Fluency in Azeri and Russian;
Excellent computer skills (MS Windows, MS Excel, Word);
Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with both contractors, local authorities and vulnerable community members;
Well developed planning and managerial skills;
End result oriented and ability to work in pressing conditions when needed;

Consultants will be selected in accordance with the Section V, IC procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004, revised October 2006, May 2010 and January 2011).
