Key Accountabilities

- To ensure Tax accounting and reporting for PSA/Non PSA is correct and that any tax exposures or gaps are reported for consideration by the Area Finance Manager.
- Ensuring adherence to, and continually improving upon, the financial controls, reconciliations and processes required to robustly manage each vessel associated cost disbursements;
- Taking responsibility for the process of preparing accurate vessel and company budgets, forecasts and reporting results to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner;
- Continually look to improve working practices to ensure high quality vessel reporting;
- Assist with the maintenance of relevant financial systems and their integrity (including procurement systems);
- Preparation of all business and operational project accounting and compliance;
- Utilise sound knowledge of all contractual project arrangements to ensure finance and accounting outputs are accurate and reflect the correct position;
- Contribute to the development of office-based business continuity planning.
- Specific matters that fall wholly or partially within the role’s remit include (but are not limited to):
- Guaranteed timely submission of vessel results/ forecasts in line with Group policies and other stakeholders’ reporting deadlines;
- Assist with the management of external audits, audit requests;
- Maintain close financial controls over operational budgets and the processes by which they are drawn up;
- Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate internal financial controls including implementation of agreed Internal Audit recommendations where applicable;
- A proactive and constant awareness of Competition and Bribery rules throughout all working practice;
- Any Ad-hoc tasks which may be requested from time to time.
- Staff management will center on six accounting staff reporting in to this role.

- ARIBA Internet Network – SAP AR modules
- Oracle ERP products
- Internet Banking

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified Chartered Accountant, CPA or ACCA qualified with knowledge on IFRS

Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years’ relevant industry experience in an international company of which at least 3 years should be as Finance Manager.
Exposure to Azerbaijan tax system is must. Exposure to taxes of other Caspian countries is preferred.

Job-Specific Skills:
Expert knowledge on Excel. Knowledge of JDE is preferred.
Able to liaise and coordinate with suppliers
