Job Description

- Publish articles and photos on the AZE channel of the FIFA  U-17 Women`s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 on FIFA.com (www.fifa.com/azerbaijan2012)
- Potentially write articles about the organization for the LOC section before the competition itself, publish these articles and send for translation on request
- Review existing content when it will be translated into AZE, reviewing the overall FIFA U17 Women`s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 section before it’s launched in AZ.
- Prepare and edit articles (if necessary) related to the tournament
- During the first month (tbd, but probably June), the work would consist mainly in reviewing the upcoming AZ section, to make sure everything is correct before the section goes live
- During the following months (June to start September), the scope of work will be reviewing and publishing news coming back from translation, and potentially write a few news in Azerbaijani for the LOC Organization section.
- As of start of September and until end of the tournament : that would be a full time job, publishing articles coming back from translation, writing articles, chasing interviews, updating twitter account.
NB: during the competition, full time means 7 days a week for FIFA.com editors. We could adapt to the situation if needed, but that’s the rule FIFA applies for all editors at FIFA.com during the tournaments.

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of football
• Good IT skills
• Bachelors degree in Journalism / Communication / Media / English Language or other related field
• Perfect spoken and written Azerbaijani/English language.
 Other languages are optional but appreciated.
• Someone who already worked on the web or is comfortable with computers
• Experience either in journalism or web, or both
• Readiness to be work long and tough hours during the tournament
• Effective working relationship with team members
