Job Description

- The TLO occupies a crucial role in all the FIFA World Cups. Simply stated, the TLO is the (FIFA/LOC) administration’s primary day-to-day operational link to the teams during the tournament. Their core function is to ensure that the participants on the field (the teams) deliver the best possible product FIFA has to offer.
- The TLO serves as information officer, protocol officer, organisational navigator, tour guide, hotel manager, transport manager, security officer, interpreter, translator and, for some, be the proverbial ‘water boy’.
- It is therefore critical that the administration ensures productive and thorough engagements with the various departments since the TLO is the image of the organization.
- It is a tall task for anyone to fill this demanding role since it requires a high degree of patience, knowledge of the organisation, its people and the peculiarities of each national team.
- The team’s rhythm can be affected by the organisational acumen of the TLO (access to team services, adherence to certain rules, transport efficiencies, etc.) The TLO therefore must be adequately prepared for this demanding role.
- Building communication among FIFA, LOC and dedicated team

Qualifications / Requirements
- Fluent in the English, Azerbaijani and primary language of the national team with whom s/he assigned to (qualified countries: China, Japan, North Korea, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Canada, USA, Mexico, New Zealand, Brazil, Colombia,Uruguay, Europe (2 countries will qualify in 29th of June 2012)
- Familiar with the culture, customs and traditions of the national team with whom s/he assigned to (preferable to be from the same culture);
- The TLO is required to be familiar with the services / amenities / culture / transportation of the area surrounding the team’s headquarters;
- Good IT skills
- The TLO must be a proven problem-solver and able to function independently;
- The TLO must be service-oriented but also understand his/her role in relation to the other departments as well as the event itself;
- Readiness to live with dedicated team in the hotel during tournament period
- In addition to the above point, the TLO must be well briefed not just in relation to the various departments listed above but also in relation to the event in general.
- People who had experience in accreditation field in any kind of events are preferable
