Maintenance Planner (MAXIMO)

Description

In conjunction with the Maintenance Superintendent, develop and implement Computerized Maintenance Management and Integrity Management Systems ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. Coordination of daily maintenance activities as well as planning of preventive maintenance and monitoring of their completion.

Roles & Responsibilities/Accountability

Provide leadership and guidance to ensure that all activity is coordinated in accordance with relevant company guideline and statutory regulations.

Work with the Maintenance and Operations teams on daily operational and maintenance planning.

In conjunction with Maintenance Superintendant implement Computerized Maintenance Management System and Integrity Management.
 
Write maintenance job plan as required for maintenance tasks.
Prepare monthly look ahead plans for maintenance and operation works

Raise work orders for corrective maintenance; keep progression of the planned and unplanned work orders through planning and work stages to completion; Coordinate materials associated with work orders.

Examine documents and monitor work processes for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.

Perform necessary material and documentation research to support maintenance activities.

Identify materials required for maintenance and participate in their ordering to ensure proper specification and technical integrity conformance.

Assist with periodic updates to the preventive maintenance tasks in the maintenance system.

Prepare weekly work scope for maintenance and operation tasks as well as produce proposed work scope for ad hoc tasks as required. 

Identify, record, and implement best maintenance practices for each discipline.

Provide coaching, training in completing work orders for production/maintenance technicians;
Supervise contracted or subcontracted inspection/construction team during planned/unplanned integrity related tasks.

Provide further support to Maintenance Superintendent and/or Base Managers.
Qualifications/Experience

Knowledge of Permit to Work systems
A minimum of 3 years related experience in the oil/petrochemical industry maintenance
Thorough understanding of modern CMMS programs, knowledge of Maximo 5.2 an added advantage
Completion of a relevant and recognized technical and/or engineering program
An understanding of process, safety and utility systems
Ability to communicate and be a team member
English reading, writing and language skills essential
