Job Description

• Responsible for all aspects of Site Materials Control & Warehouse Operations
• Responsible for overseeing identification, shipping and disposal of the project surplus
• Ensure all material is maintained in storage in compliance with client preservation programme.
• Leads and coordinates all Warehouse functions and the personnel assigned to it: including but not limited to receiving, validating material per material inspection, material movement, preservation, storage and outbound logistics.
• Arrange QA/QC support as required.
• Manage inbound/outbound site logistics, site purchasing for construction and operations
• Establishing criteria for the effective management of inventory, inventory accuracy, storage and movement of goods and services
• Oversees the receipts of materials including OS&D reporting when necessary
• Contributing to the establishment of tactical plans to achieve cost savings in strategic sourcing, inventory, warehousing and transportation objectives
• Ensuring  material received is the material ordered, inspected for damage and meets required specification
• Ensuring documentation is complete supporting managed material and kept on file for record
• Maintain inventory of remaining / scrapped / sold equipment
• Maintain accurate identification of equipment / materials stored in warehouse or yard.
• Manage and minute regular materials status meetings in coordination with BP and HSEQ
• Ensure that all materials movement are recorded into MAXIMO to meet requirements as it pertains to documentation and condition for issue and re-use of returned materials. 
• Ensuring that all materials at the warehouse are stored correctly, are secure and in safe condition, free of damage in accordance with normal procedures.
• Partake in regular briefings with ASCO PSCM Supply Base Team.
• Other reasonable tasks as required by ASCO Management.

People

• Maintain an atmosphere and work ethic that fosters creative thinking and practice open and honest communication within the organization.
• Ensure full and efficient labour workforce utilization by planning activities to maximize the resources available.
• Carry out Company’s annual performance appraisals of subordinates.
• Participate in Disciplinary Investigations as required.
• Assess staff competencies and manpower levels and recommend changes when required.
• Implementing an agreed development plan for national staff, coaching and training them, monitoring and reporting on progress against defined targets and milestones.

HSEQ

• Promote & maintain Health, Safety & Environmental culture within Materials & Warehouse team.
• Monitoring and prevention of unsafe situations.
• Ensure full compliance with all HSE and Operating Procedure. Participate and promote the “Stop System”, carry out site walk about  ASA’s, TBT ‘s, Risk Assessments and complete PTW as necessary, to ensure safe and secure work performed by all Operations, contractors and Third Party personnel.
• Ensure that all Warehouse personnel wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain housekeeping standards by involving all warehouse team.
• Ensure that all warehouse personnel have the right and appropriate documentation and certification to carry out responsibilities, which are required for their position and are properly trained in all aspects of their job function.
• Ensuring that all safety rules and procedures are followed by the personnel and conform to the professional standards prescribed by the company.
• Maintain awareness of the potential significant environmental and social aspects and impacts of the operation.
• Constantly look for and act in the ways that reduce the health and safety risks, and the environmental, social, and security impact of your job and initiate improvements.
• Ensure that Warehouse operations and facilities are conducted in accordance with security procedures

Customers

• Liaison with client, contractors and 3rd parties.
• Communicate and maintain good working relationship with customers and clients  in accordance with contractual work scopes

Person Requirements

• Ability to communicate and be a team member
• Ability to identify priorities, co-ordinate resources and manage the performance of operations activities
• Ability to drive change and be innovative


Essential Skills

• Previous experience with project / construction and operations Materials
• Good command of English, Azeri and Russian.
• In depth knowledge of Maximo 5.2 would be an asset.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and documentation in a controlled environment
• Ability to communicate and maintain good working relationship with client and co-workers
• Ability to coordinate and supervise the work force team
• Leadership and mentorship skills.
• A minimum of 5-8 years related experience in industry.
• Thorough understanding of HSE requirements & behaviour.
• A thorough knowledge of Facility utility and safety systems;
• Trouble-shooting skills of Facility systems to minimize any downtime;
• Excellent computer skills;
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and documentation;
• Thorough understanding of HSE requirements & behaviour.


Desired Skills

• Knowledge of British Petroleum’s (BP) Safe System’s of Work.
