Job Description:
Role Summary
Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure for the organization. Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Analysing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and managing the design and implementation of all technical systems and eliminating security risks. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with others. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and at least 5 years of related experience in management roles.
Work Environment
- Office, in-country travel, active, onshore, computer and technology use
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all technology operations and evaluate them in alignment with organizational goals
- Directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
- Working with department heads to find solutions to manage business activities
- Supervising a team of IT Specialists, while working closely with management, external vendors and advisors
- Analysing workflows and delegating goals
- Developing and maintaining performance standards
- Making hiring decisions
- Preparing financial budgets and presenting proposals for capital projects to senior executives
- Controlling budget and report on expenditure
- Implementing and monitoring new projects
- Researching and recommending new products
- Identifying new market opportunities
- Evaluating new technologies for competitive advantage
- Leading efforts to improve IT processes
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
- Inspecting the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Identifying the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
- Assisting in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts

• At least 5+ years of relevant work experience in management roles

• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
Competency Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven experience as IT director or similar role
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
- Experience in controlling information technology budget
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Excellent written and spoken English
