Payroll Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform payroll accounting, make payroll entries and maintain payroll files for the company employees.
- Assist in changes, and deductions.
- Address payroll inquiries from employees in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll and tax reports.
- Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate action plans.
- Generate periodic payroll reports to Managers for review.
- Assist with the preparation of payroll related financial reports and analyses
- Collecting, checking and inserting employee’s bank details to Payroll system and opening salary cards;
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Secures financial information by completing database backups; keeping information confidential
- Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with local financial legal requirements

Education/Experience and Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of local laws regarding finances and taxation
- Excellent organizing abilities
- Great attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
- Fluency in English and Azerbaijani languages
