Main Duties:

• Ensure the department’s operational budget is controlled to ensure expenses are in line with the budget.
• Handle basic colleague safety issues to ensure efficiency and service are continuously provided.
• Effectively oversee the control of cleaning supplies and guest supplies (receiving, recording, handling and storage) to minimise losses and maximise use of resources.
• Take part in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan to ensure housekeeping operation is adequately represented.
• Assist to liaise with other managers in rooms Division to monitor service quality, plan unique guest experiences and to discuss operational problems in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
• Assist to liaise with Technical Services Department to properly monitor repair works are efficiently delivered in the rooms and public areas to ensure guest satisfaction with the hotel products.
• Assist in recommending modernisation of cleaning methods and equipment to ensure quality of cleanliness and increase in performance, to meet guest expectations.
• Assist to ensure that all department reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately to ensure compliance with audit procedures.
• Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require.
• Spot checks guest rooms and follows up in any issue with the respective team leader and self-checkers.
• Conducts performance and yearly appraisals for colleagues
• Understands and adheres to all fire & safety procedures.
• To ensure that all equipment is well maintained and handled correctly.
• To handle guest complaints in accordance with the hotel policy, reporting all complaints to Executive Housekeeper.
• Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood.
• To ensure excellence in standard of hygiene, safety, comfort and aesthetics are provided.
• Evaluate Housekeeping Colleagues about their training needs and development.
• To ensure Housekeeping Attendants are fully trained to the standard set by the department.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within Housekeeping Department Managerial position
• Excellent in organization/planning/delegation/Prioritizing/problem solving
• Familiar with inventory
• Participates in multi-skilling philosophy
• Good command of Azeri, Russian and English
• Demonstrate ability to acquire the following:

-Leadership
-Problem solving
-Training
-Development Subordinates
-Computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Fidelio, Opera)
