Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree – High School or Technical School Diploma
• Academic Institutions - police academy, military institute, or other relevant institution providing security certificate
• Certified first–aid, fire-fighting, bomb threatening or other security related training (desirable)
• 3-5 years of experience in security area, desirable in foreign company or Embassy
• Able to operate with security systems and daily used security equipment
• Flexibility to work longer hours occasionally if needed
• Basic working computer knowledge of MS Office applications; operates on Outlook; effective e-mail communication skills.
• Very alert, demonstrates special security skills in different situations.

Job Duties:

• To check and account for all inventories in the Security Office.
• To record all occurrences of security interest in the log book for the information of the security personnel and management.
• To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily
• Through hands-on management, to supervise closely all Security Officers in the performance of their duties in accordance with Hotel Policies & Procedures and applicable laws
• To ensure patrol is carried out in all public areas, restaurants, guest floors, offices, plant rooms and all other areas of the hotel, ensuring safety, security and comfort of all guests, hotel personnel.
• To ensure that all Security personnel look out for any suspicious loiterers or articles
• To patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment
• To ensure the smooth running of all operational procedures within the department and in-relation to other departments.
• To conduct enquiries and checks on all security and fire related incidents and submit initial reports.
• To conduct roll-call/daily briefing during each shift on the hotel’s activities/functions of the day to the security officers before the commencement of their duties.
• To assist in associate bag checks and periodic locker searches and ensures that they are carried out according to the hotel’s Policy and Procedure.
• Ensures that associates follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
• To conduct annual Performance Development Discussions with the departmental associates and to support them in their professional development goals.
• To oversee the implementation and on-going monitoring of Personal Business and Development Goals for the departmental associates.
