Position overview:
• undertaking risk assessments and site inspections
• identifying potential hazards
• determining ways of reducing
• develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
• recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• drawing up safe operational practices and making necessary changes
• making presentations to groups of employees/managers
• providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees
• liaising with relevant authorities
• keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
Profile of successful candidate:
Must have requirements
• University degree
• Minimum of 5 years in HSE or environmental management roles (Event and Sport safety is advantage)
• Computer literate in the basic Microsoft Office programs
• Good proficiency in English (both oral and written)
• Good team management skills
• Organized, service-oriented and resistant to stress
• Ability of work extra hours during match days and match day preparations
