Qalaaltı Hotel & Spa in looking for open-minded and energetic Executive Chef with diverse talents to join our Culinary team at Qalaaltı Hotel & Spa.

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Monitors all duty schedules in the kitchen operation and review and correct the appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming of all assigned employees.
• Conducts regularly presentations of new novelties, etc. to stay in line with operational trends.
• Evaluates the performance of the assigned team and initiate promotions.
• Responsible for the timely kitchen preparations for all meal services in the outlets in line with the stipulated opening hours.
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
• Frequently tour through all Kitchens, Stores and other food production facilities ensuring the highest possible hygiene and maintenance standards.
• Frequently tour of the dining outlets and related areas to assure the well-being of all guests by maintaining a close friendly contact.
• Drives together with the Food & Beverage Manager and other departments all extracurricular events in the outlets and develop food promotions if the situation requires.
• Controls the food cost by reviewing and approving all store requisitions and direct purchases and minimize wastage.
• Ensures all standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must have college/university degree (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a hotel Executive Chef, Head Chef
• Proven ability to lead a department
• Good personal & business references
• Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (Word or Word Perfect), and PowerPoint
• Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
• Positive attitude, detail and guest oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian. Fluency in English is preferable.
