Position: Welding inspector

Responsibilities

• Reviewing project specifications, drawings, method statement and Quality Control plans/procedures
• Preparation of the Inspection Test Plan for the scope of work and have it approved by the client
• Create, update and maintain the project all type of documentation log and all other projects specific quality control reports
• Check the completeness and conformity to specified applicable requirements, standards and/or directives
• Supervise and witness inspections, check reports and documentation and collect and file the required Quality Records
• Ensure that all sites activities are carried out according to reference documentation within his area of responsibility, authorizing their acceptance at quality control completion
• Cooperate and implementation of relative corrective actions, NCR, SOR, etc. Systematically records the nonconformity or event reports issued and identify appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure that the tests, controls, and inspections are carried out and that personnel have access to all required project documentation
• Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems
• Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect the quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work
• Compile the final project turnovers and submission to client approval.
• Assemble and forward project closeout documents that include O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties
• Manage collaboration of measurement instruments and related certifications
• Any other project QA/QC duties as advised from time to time
• Responsible for the implementation of duties, the timely and efficient implementation of orders and decrees by the QA QC Manager and Senior Project Manager that is defined by this "job description"
• Responsible for maintaining confidential information and company secrets
• Responsible to follow the labor discipline and internal disciplinary rules

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Control in construction industry
• Valid TWI - CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certificate
• Knowledge of EN 1090-2 standard is preferred
• Previous NDT experience is preferred
