Position: Design Coordinator
Job Type Full-time
Job Location: Azerbaijan/Baku

Responsibilities:

• Coordination design and engineering between Fit-out team, Design team and external sub-contractors to ensure all are working from latest drawings and ensuring compliance.
• Follow design changes and ensure they are applied and instructed across all parties in coordination with Package Manager that change management system is implemented.
• To follow subcontractor’s technical submittals and ensure site/programme requirements are met and required technical submittals are in place to enable the smooth progress of works.
• Provide schedules as required to assist the package manager.
• To attend and minute design coordination meetings as required.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues.
• To coordinate design details for efficient buildability.
• To foresee and assist the design team in providing solutions to site condition issues.
• Identify and analyse, manage and mitigate design risks.
• Coordinate with site Engineers to resolve on site condition detail requirements.
• Prepare drawings for presentation to Tech team if required.
• Coordinate with Technical design team to gain approval for proposed detail.
• Follow through to execution of proposed details.
• Review site progress and highlight any issues.
• Liaise with Site Engineers reference attention to detail.
• Review site progress for quality of finish.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in interior Fit-out work and joinery
• Degree or diploma equivalent in Architecture and Interior Design
• Strong organizational and analytical skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices;
