JOB TITLE: HSE Manager

EMPLOYER: DHL Global Forwarding Azerbaijan

Responsibilities:                                          

- Day to Day Management of the HSE process within the Warehouse complex, as per DHL HSE Project Logistics Plan
- Implement & maintain site procedures, Visitor Induction, Emergency evacuation plan and designated Muster points
- Train & Coach - Ensure every member of staff knows & understands their HSE roles
- Prepare HSE  Reports for Monthly Management Review
- Control of  HSE Training matrix and ensure that all employees complete all mandatory HSE training related to their roles, as required by BP , DHL and AZ legislation
- Ensure that DHL hold regular HSE meetings as described in the DHL Project Specific HSE Plan.
- Lead  Safety / Toolbox talk programs
- Take part in / lead incident and accident investigation  reporting
- Controls documents (records of inspections etc)
- Ensures lifting operations  and OOG movements are properly planned and documented in Alignment with Transport & Warehouse Managers
- Specifies lashing/securing requirements in Alignment with Transport & Warehouse Managers
- Communicate via various methods, HSE best practices, statistics, lessons learned and updates of systems & procedures 
- Oversees HSE incentive program
- Leadership of Sub-Contractor Inspections/audits and reporting in all aspects of HSE
- To become a DHL HSE Ambassador within the BP Contractor Community.
- To proactively lead by example as stated in the company HSE Policy
- To ensure that Risk Assessments are continuously reviewed and improved
- To ensure the implementation and control of the DHLIP HSE MS.
- To ensure training and competence of all personnel within the business unit through development of policies, procedures and a robust training program
- To Monitor, Audit and Review the effectiveness of policies, processes and procedures.

Required skills/experience

 University Degree level education ideally complemented by professional post-graduate HSEQ qualification
 5+ years of experience in an HSE role within a large international organizations
 Proven experience of HSSE work within Logistics
 Strong knowledge of logistics
 NEBOSH or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
 Auditing Experience
 Knowledge of Load Restraints
 Knowledge of oil & gas materials
 Excellent organizational and time management skills.
 Good written and spoken communication skills.
 Very good command of English, Azeri and Russian.
 Accuracy and attention to detail.
 A calm and professional manner.
 Strong team leadership
 Excellent computer and administration skills.  (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
 A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
 Tact and discretion, for dealing with confidential information.
