Job title: HSE specialist (Ətraf mühitin və əməyin mühafizəsi üzrə mütəxəssis)

Net Salary:   1000-1800 AZN

Workplace:  Plant in Balakhani
Condition: The Plant site area

Working hours from 8:00 to 17:00 for 5 days in a week (Monday to Friday)

Job requirements:

• Bachelor or higher degree in related area (Internationally recognized certification is an asset);
• Minimum 3 years of experience in related area;
• Azerbaijani and professional knowledge of English is a must (Russian and French is an asset).
• Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, able to write clear and consistent reports;
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations for the Environment and sensitive sites to the Environment and for the pollution control (essential);
• Knowledge of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (even if basic);
• Knowledge of the chemical risks, the risks of emissions to the atmosphere, emissions to the ground, emissions to the water and noise emissions;

Main Responsibilities:

Assists HQSSE Manager to develop and assure the running of a system of management of the Environment. Assesses the environmental aspects of the operation of the Company and develops proposal for the annual Company and Environmental objectives, targets and Management program.

Key Tasks:

• Estimates the level of management of the environment and if it is compliant with the local rules and regulations; reports to the HQSSE Manager and propose corrective actions and/or improvements.
• Identifies potential risks to the business from an Environmental perspective considering, develop strategies and give guidance to mitigate the risks.
• Checks and forwards to the General management, the HQSSE management and the Operational and Maintenance management the new rules and regulations put into force by the Government authorities.
• Participates to the organization of the Health and Safety on site including but not only on an environmental approach.
• Monitors the training of the operation and the maintenance personnel and ensure that the personnel are up to date with the requirements by law, develop Environmental best practices across the personnel.
• Informs all personnel of their individual duties and responsibilities with regard to the Environment subjects.
• Ensures that the Site documentation for the Environment is up to date and monitor it.
• Assists the HQSSE Manager when dealing with the Government authorities on Environmental issues. Ensures that statutory reports are prepared and send to the Government authorities in due time. Sets up an annual calendar with due dates of the a.m. reports
• Plans and organizes the site audits (internal and external) for the Environment topics
• Receives, controls and registers the reports from external Contractors with regards to the Environment, emissions to the atmosphere and others
• Prepares for the General management the Operation and Maintenance Annual reports and file them.
• Develops the OHSAS 18001 on site and monitors it.

Communication, internal and external relationship:

• Reports to the HQSSE Manager
• Maintain communication rules with the Environment Manager of the Division of Exploitation in France for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the OHSAS 18001
