Tax Compliance and Accounting Management Group helps companies operating in Azerbaijan effectively deal with their business and tax accounting. We manage preparation of all necessary financial statements and tax records in accordance with local legislation, help clients resolve arising business and tax accounting issues and deal with authorities.

Responsibilities:

-  Delivering tax compliance and accounting management engagements;
-  Managing compliance outsourcing contracts;
-  Providing tax technical advice relevant to business issues and opportunities;
-  Providing tax technical input for audit of tax;
-  Supporting clients with their group/statutory Tax Reporting needs;
-  Leading tax accounting project works, providing tax accounting training and advising clients on process improvements and changes to accounting standards;
-  Delivering corporate tax compliance engagements;
-  Managing global compliance outsourcing contracts;
-  Developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients;
-  Advising clients on driving efficiency through the compliance process, improving controls, and leveraging technology;
-  Advising clients on the tax and tax accounting implications of new legislation;
-  Responding to client requests for ad hoc technical advice;
-  Taking a lead on sales activities by working with more senior members of the team to generate additional work opportunities for both existing clients and targets, supporting proposals and propositions across functions, sectors and accounts;
-  Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience;
-  Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
-  Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear;
-  Coaching and developing junior members of staff.

Requirements:

- Strong awareness of tax reporting requirements and the Azerbaijan, PSA tax regime;
-  Previous at least 4-5 year’ experience as a lead in a tax compliance and accounting management project from start to finish; Experience in consulting industry is an advantage;
- Previous experience in managing a mixed portfolio of clients from various sectors;
-  Previous experience in managing a tax audit;
-  US GAAP and IFRS tax reporting knowledge;
-  Extensive project management/co-ordination skills and experience (e.g. on global compliance outsourcing engagements or similar projects);
- First-hand experience and good knowledge of accounting and ERP software such as 1C; SAP; Oracle; SUN, etc.
- Previous experience in analyzing problems, identifying core issues, investigation, evaluating and integrating information;
- Fluent Azerbaijan, Russian and English (verbal and written) to work on projects;
- Previous at least 4-5 year’ experience as a lead in a tax compliance and accounting management
project from start to finish; Experience in consulting industry is an advantage;

- Fluent Azerbaijan, Russian and English (verbal and written) to work on projects;

- Qualifications and Skills: ACCA, CIMA, CFA qualification/significant progress is an advantage
