Responsibilities:

  • ​Providing strategic and ad-hoc advice on application of domestic/international taxation, including but not limited to:
  • corporate and personal income taxation
  • taxation of dividend and interest income
  • value added tax and excise tax
  • property and land tax
  • PSA and HGA tax rules
  • transfer pricing, BEPS and other similar requirements
  • Supporting clients with preparation of DTA applications, as well as refund of overpaid taxes
  • Assistance during inspections of tax or any other inspections
  • Participation in the tax audits in order to identify potential tax risks of clients
  • Assistance in litigation regarding the tax issues
  • Correspondence with the government bodies on various tax matters
  • Participation in developing tax practice within KPMG
  • Contribution to the development of current tax legislation
  • Marketing activities including preparation of presentations, proposals, preparations to seminars, etc.
  • Administrative functions.

Requirements:

  • Degree or last year student in finance/economics/international relations and other related fields
  • Good knowledge and extensive practice with domestic and international tax matters
  • Experience with formal and verbal communication and interaction with state authorities    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Azerbaijani/English/Russian on excellent level
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Maturity and enthusiasm in performing job responsibilities
