Job Description

• Responsible to build and maintain the geologic model using all available well and seismic data
• Develop stratigraphic concepts, interpret depositional processes and understand key rock properties
• Generation of structure and reservoir maps for field appraisal, development and reserve estimation
• Assess the reservoir targeting strategy along with the Reservoir, Production, and Drilling Engineers
• Provide input to reservoir dynamic models. Calibrate static models with dynamic production data where possible in association with reservoir engineer
• Identify and plan development well locations, and incorporating results into interpretations
• Determines hydrocarbons-in-place by volumetric calculations, and provide input for reserve reports and certification
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining geology database
• Provide geological input to well workover/recompletion proposals and activities
• Prepare and present technical data to partner and government during all stages of project evaluation, well proposals, field development plan and project implementations, to achieve endorsements and approvals for proposed work activities
• Identify geological drilling hazards and clearly communicate to the Operations team
• Provide geological input to drilling programs for appraisal and development wells (geological cross sections, correlations and facies models)

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Geosciences or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Development Geologist. Experience in RMS, Petrel or similar geomodelling software is essential
• Experience with core analysis, reservoir geophysics or geomechanical study
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
