Job Title : Freight Forwarder

Introduction
LV Caspian Ltd is part of LV Shipping and Transport Group - an internationally recognized freight forwarder operating worldwide due to growth of the company is currently looking for enthusiastic and responsible Freight Forwarders to start a new role managing and developing International Business.
NO WORK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. GRADUATES ARE WELCOME TO APPLY.
Roles and Responsibilities
- investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the nature of goods, cost, transit time and security;
- arranging appropriate packing, taking into account the climate, terrain, weight, cost and nature of goods and also the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination;
- negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs, preparing sales quotations.
- obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries' regulations and fiscal regimes;
- offering consolidation services by air, sea and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions to small shippers who have insufficient cargo to require their own dedicated units;
- arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim;
- acting as broker in customs negotiations worldwide to guide the freight efficiently through complex procedures;
- maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistical and unit-cost analysis, updating company’s ERP system;
- maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight.
Qualifications
- University degree in Economics, International Trade, or International Economic Affairs is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work with ERP systems
- Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English, Azerbaijan, Turkish, and Russian
- Strong ability to work in a calm manner whilst under pressure both individually and in the team
- Good telephone manner, negotiation and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Office environment
- 8-hour working day (09:00 – 18:00), Monday to Friday
- Lunch break: 12:00 – 13:00 or 13:00 – 14:00
- Being “on call” out of office ours is important
Remuneration
Will be discussed with successful candidates. Selection of candidates will be based on written and verbal tests.
