AIMC (Azerbaijan International Mining Company)- engages in the exploration and production of gold, copper, and silver properties in Azerbaijan.
 
Job title: Legal Manager
 
Work location: Baku office

Essential Requirements:
 
• Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations from legal perspective
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues
• Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
• Making sure proper document control procedures are established, maintained and monitored
• Advise and support management on compliance with PSA and legal interpretation in case of disputable issues
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
• Dealing with government and other authorities on all licenses and permissions necessary for carrying our mining activities
• Dealing with insurance companies to cover risks of loss and deal with claims from insurance companies
• Coordination and monitoring of the local and foreign legal consultants’ work
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
• Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
• Additional tasks on legal issues as requested
 
Fluent knowledge of Azerbaijani, English, Russian languages is mandatory
