Industrial Cleaning Supervisor

Essential Functions:

• Directly supervisors tank cleaning crews
• Responsible for satisfying all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations including Confined Space Entry
• Perform administrative duties including production paperwork using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs.
• Communicates with client including project scope, cost, quality parameters and schedule
• Develops Health, Safety and Environmental plan in addition to a work plan for each project
• Assess jobs and perform safety audits as required
• Conduct daily Safety Meetings with work crew and document
• Prepare Confined Space Entry permits and ensure acceptable entry conditions
• Update the work order as the job progresses
• Ensure all client contact is handled in a professional manner, including crew appearance and demeanor
• Works with Special Services Manager to ensure equipment are properly maintained and ready for use
• Ensure all equipment is inspected prior to use

Qualifications

SOCAR CAPE set very high standards for their Industrial Cleaning Supervisors and as a minimum expectation the following apply:
 
A. Minimum of 3 years supervising experience or being mentored in a varied range of offshore industrial cleaning jobs: this would include the supervision of:
• UHP Deck coating removal.
• HP Drain Cleaning.
B. Minimum of 4 years supervising confined spaces entry under breathing apparatus.
C. Must have relevant experience in the following:
• Hazardous atmospheres and gas monitoring
• Risk assessment and Dynamic Risk Assessment
• Operations of safe systems of work
• Use of permit system
• Fall arrest systems
• Safe entry and exit
• Emergency procedures
• PPE – Pre-use inspection and safe operation
• Confined space jetting operations
D. Minimum of 3 years supervising mud Tank Cleaning
E. Minimum of 3 years supervising separator de-sanding (confined spaces) (must have section C, a  1 year experience)
F. Sand and oil containment and pumping. 
G. Preparation of detailed offshore surveys for industrial cleaning reporting findings in technical manner to the CSS manager.
H. Specialist in both planned water jetting works/project works TARs and decommissioning projects
I. Excellent prioritisation & planning skills
J. Exemplary communicator
K. Good working knowledge of H&S legislation and practices
L. Good IT skills for reports and supervisors paperwork- word, excel and power point.
M. Must have the relevant experience in Confined space Entry
N. Must have relevant training in hazardous atmospheres and gas monitoring
O. Must have PA status within the ECow system
P. Must have excellent English language skills- reading and writing and understand engineering drawings for both the clients and company equipment
Q. Must have a basic mechanical experience with the equipment used for HP and UHP water jetting.
R. Must have an excellent understanding of BA, set up and safe use.
S. Must be trained in the use of the ALG 10 system
