Position Name: Chief Designer on Metal-Construction, Machine-building and Mechanical processing
“Sumgait Technologies Park” LLC (further in the document “STP”) is looking for a Chief Designer for its Metal Fabrication complex consisting of the following manufacturing plants: Heavy Machinery Building, Metal Construction Installation and Fine Mechanics.

The position of the Chief Designer is assigned to a person who has a Master’s degree in engineering and experience in engineering and management positions in the manufacturing profile for at least 10 years.
The candidate should have experience working in 3D Modeling program.
The candidate should have knowledge of:
• Methodological materials for the design preparation of production;
• Profile, specialization and features of the organizational and technological structure of the enterprise;
• Prospects for the technical development of the industry;
• Technology of production of the enterprise's products;
• Systems and design methods;
• Organization of design preparation of production in the industry;
• Production capacities, technical characteristics, design features and operating modes of the equipment of the enterprise and the rules of its operation;
• Order and methods of planning the design preparation of production;
• Technical requirements for the designs being developed, the conditions for their installation and commissioning, methods of technical calculations;
• Basis of technical standards, technical conditions and other guidelines for the development and design of design documentation;
• Fundamentals of patenting, standardization and certification;
• Domestic and foreign achievements of technology in the relevant industry;
• Advanced domestic and foreign experience in designing similar products;
• Fundamentals of the economy, the organization of production, labor and management;
Job responsibilities include:
• Manage the creation of new and modernized designs of products (complexes, machines, devices, instruments, mechanisms) of current production, ensuring their high technical level, competitiveness and patentability.
• Take measures to accelerate the development of promising design developments and new materials.
• Organize the development of projects for new experimental and industrial installations, non-standard equipment and adaptations in connection with the reconstruction of facilities, the automation of production and the mechanization of labor-intensive processes.
• Ensure the compliance of new and modernized structures with technical tasks, standards, requirements of rational organization and labor protection and safety standards.
• Supervise the preparation of feasibility studies of the effectiveness of new design developments, their advantages over previously manufactured ones.
• Organize the development of prospective and current plans for the introduction and development of new equipment, design preparation of production, research and development work and control their implementation.
• Develop technical specifications for design, provide protection and coordination in accordance with the established procedure of developed sketch, technical and working projects, present design solutions for approval.
• Take measures to shorten the time for the development of new equipment, the cost and cycle of design preparation for production through the introduction of advanced design methods.
• Participate in installation, testing, commissioning and commissioning of new product designs.
• Supervise the manufacture of products and their operation.
• Take part in the work on the certification of products by quality categories, the development of proposals for reconstruction, technical re-equipment, intensification of production, increasing its effectiveness; provide design development for the adoption of rationalization proposals and inventions.
• Organize work to improve the skills of workers engaged in product design preparation.
• Manage the employees of the department, directs and coordinates the activities of subordinate units.

Our major clients are BP Global Projects Organization, Halliburton Energy Services Limited, Tekfen Holding, Azfen J.V., SOCAR Polymer, Samsung Engineering.
In March 2017 STP has started turnaround program immediately followed by team strengthening initiatives, as well as other large-scale institutional and operational changes. The aim of the reengineering is to secure wider (both local and specifically regional) brand recognition of STP via enhancing its production and sales capabilities.
