Junior System Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair network and server-related hardware and software.
• Deliver excellent customer service to end users with their day-to-day technical issues.
• Perform installs, upgrades, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripheral devices.
• Plan and implement network security including firewalls, VPN, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
• Monitor virtual environment and conduct performance tuning for virtual machines and hosts.
• Installs and configures new servers.
• Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
• Strong technical knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware devices.
• Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
• Fundamental knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, and Exchange.
• Proficient in supporting Microsoft Windows 10 in an Active Directory Domain environment.
• Experience with enterprise network security, including intrusion detection systems, firewall, VPN, and data backup / recovery.
• Understands and able to apply basic troubleshooting to server based software issues with:
o Microsoft Windows Server /2008/2012/2016
o Microsoft Exchange 2013
o Microsoft SQL Server
o Microsoft Terminal Server 2008 and Remote Desktop Services 2012
• Must be a self-initiative, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplined with the ability to organize time and work efficiently
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
• Relevant certification is preferred
• Fluency in Russian or English is an advantage
