Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Description
Tax Code;
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the Group;
Ensuring integration with other company units of the Department and Financial Affairs Department;
Determination of Accounting Policies;
Cost Management;
Account Plan Configuration and Design;
The provision of employment and training of new staff to work within the Group;
All the Group’s accounting records, placing by our staff for the realization of archiving and disclosure procedures, training and supervision, establishing the internal control system, establishing internal control structures;
Existing or established systems of internal control, Independent Supervision;
Tax risk analysis;
Tax Accounting;
Financial accounting;
Management accounting;
Prepare and update Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual for local reporting purposes;
Ensure timely closing of reporting periods and timely preparation of statutory information for tax and financial reporting purposes;
Cooperate with other departments on issues relevant to the accounting and tax. Support other departments on questions concerning VAT, invoices and other tax-related issues;
Manage tax planning and tax optimization activities within the framework of applicable legislation;
Reporting and Audits;
Support preparation of management accounts (A Statement of Financial Position, A Statement of Comprehensive Income, A Statement of Cash Flow, A Statement of Changes in Equity and Explanatory notes) for each month by a set deadline;
IFRS Reporting;
Consolidation according to IFRS ;
Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS on a pre-defined frequency;
Assist external auditors in performing their audits of IFRS financial;
Set goals for and monitor the performance of staff in the accounting department in line with the Group’s policies;
Budgeting;
Financial analysis.
Requirements
Proven experience as CFO,
5+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in real estate development, property management, and/ or construction industry;
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study (finance or business);
PC proficiency is essential, strong working knowledge of MS Office and financial management software (ERP);
Language skills: Azerbaijan, Russian, English;
Depth knowledge of corporate financial law, tax code and risk management practices;
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods;
Ability to strategize and solve problems;
An analytical mind.
