Welding Engineer
Job Summary:
Welding Engineer responsibilities will include qualification of welders and welding procedures help ensure the integrity of the Quality Assurance Program, perform research & development, help implement industry best practices; and ensure adherence to applicable codes, specifications, standards, and contract terms.
Job Function:
• Provides welding related support to operating units during the performance of shop and field projects.
• Help to develop and/or review Welding Procedure Specifications, records, work instructions, customer requirements and other technical welding related documentation.
• Assists in solving complex welding problems, performing root-cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and documenting lessons learned.
• Help to identify, develop, and implement advanced welding processes, techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Assists in the research and development of prototype welding equipment, welding technology, and materials.
• Develop welding/inspection procedures as necessary
• Conduct random inspections to verify weld quality in facilities
• Work with suppliers as needed to improve the weld quality
• Provide weld technical support for shop
Experience:
• A Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated knowledge of arc welding processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials, weldability and NDE methods.
Job type: full-time
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
