Senior Tax Accountant

Job description

On this position, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of work across various engagements.

Main roles and responsibilities:

 You will deal with wide aspects of  tax issues for local and multinational clients
 You will be driving client relationships, advising clients on future tax matters and acting as a trusted expert to your client portfolio.
 Assist clients with accounting, payroll and tax compliance
 You will ensure clients’ accounts are kept in compliance in accordance with required accounting standards
 You will ensure provision of high quality technical expertise, aiming to exceed client expectations with respect to deliverables
 You will contribute to continuous improvement of operational efficiency of the team and streamline the workflow.
 You will supervising tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.
 You will ensure compliance of activities with technical & risk management requirements
 You will identify opportunities and promote to clients other services of the Firm

As an ideal candidate, you will:

 Be a holder of University Degree in Economics or Finance
 Have a minimum 3 years of relevant experience with Accounting and Finance
 Have an excellent technical knowledge: expertise in local and international taxation, accounting
 Be qualified or study towards obtaining of ACCA, CIMA or equivalent 
 Have good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
 Be fluent in English and Azerbaijani and Russian
 You will have a good knowledge of local business environment and community
 You will be a strong team player
 You will have strong communication & influencing skills
 You will have good presentation & business writing skills
