Role Overview

The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for contributing to ongoing business sales strategy and to the day to day execution of the sales plan both locally and internationally. The successful execution of this role will lead to future opportunities for advancement to Director of Sales. The role is based in Baku, Azerbaijan, and may also involve international business travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the company sales strategy
• Define and research the target market for the company’s services
• Identify and maintain a validated and extensive list of prospects within the target market
• Develop and refine the sales outreach model based on a direct sales approach
• Develop and refine sales materials to be used during calls and meetings with prospects
• Execute the sales cycle with the prospect list
• Close deals with prospects and bring revenue into the company in accordance with agreed sales targets
• Maintain the post-sales relationship with customers and provide feedback on customer satisfaction
• Define and monitor sales KPIs and identify ways to optimise and improve the sales process
• Provide regular reporting to company management on sales activity and performance
• Contribute to the development of the company marketing strategy
• Build and maintain positive, trustworthy and firm work relationships with clients
• Contribute to the development of company standards for operation and quality of services

Key skills and experience

• 3-5 years prior work experience in a service (IT services an advantage) sales related role
• Strong experience of network building and direct selling techniques
• Basic marketing knowledge and skills (specialist skills are an advantage but not mandatory)
• Proactive, creative, solution/results oriented approach to work
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong negotiation, presentation, research, analytical, decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to develop strong and effective working relationships at all levels of seniority
• Experience of customer focused roles and problem-solving skills
• Good skills with typical Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Educational and language requirements

• University Graduate (Western education in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication or other related field is an advantage)
• Sales training and certification evidence is an advantage
• Strong written and oral communication in English, Russian and Azerbaijani languages
