Duties:
Reporting to Operations/Project Manager the Project engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Provide an additional focal point for Client personnel in the event of unavailability of the Project Manager and ensure the effective flow of information to the Client as required
• Commit to delivering the milestone dates and performance targets as defined in the Succession Plan for the Project Engineer
• To undertake a detailed training programme incorporating safety and management aspects
• Assisting in the execution of the personnel selection including trade testing, inductions, work scope pre-briefings, etc.
• Assist in the coordination of personnel logistics arrangements
• Assist in the expediting of plant materials and consumables mobilisations.
• Monitoring of plant and material mobilisations to ensure compliance with client requirements
• Assist with the monitoring and reporting of actual performance of the project against the performance standards and budgets, etc.
• Coordinate the support services and administrative services to support the Supervision and Project Manager
• Undertake site visits and site surveys as required to deliver the highest standards of service
• Ensure the provision of accurate and timely reports and information for the commercial management of the contract such as plant sheets, material costing, job allocation, budgets, estimates, valuations and invoices
• Develop and maintain working relationships with client and peer contractors to ensure delivery
• Supporting the Project Manager and the supervision to ensure compliance to the various Company Management Systems
• Participate in audits to monitor the compliance with the various Management Systems
• Collate statistical performance data to support the Key Performance indicators
• Active participation in all Client/Company safety systems
• Monitor and report the progress achieved against the innovation plan
• Assist in the implementation of the Competency Assurance and appraisal process such as trade tests, profiles, development plan, etc.
• Provide a communication network between all the Company operations for lateral learning.
