POSITION: THE LEVEL I ELECTRICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY

The Level I Electrician is responsible for:

• Workshop maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electric and electronic systems of construction and power generating equipment, marine and commercial engines in the range of region nomenclature. Level skill requirements vary from basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to basic repair.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Level I Electrician is primarily responsible for providing timely equipment maintenance and service, performing its modernization, diagnostics and downtime prevention works. In that manner, his responsibilities are below but are not limited to them:

• Load/unload components, parts and equipment.
• Clean electric and electronic parts and components.
• Remove, assist with rebuild, and install components from equipment and engines.
• Perform maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired construction and power generating equipment as directed.
• Assist in the disassembly and assembly of components.
• Maintains service vehicle(s) in a clean and good operational condition.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs on time.
• Accurately prepare service reports.
• Possess the skills necessary to repair a specified range of products within the region nomenclature.
• Locate and use service manuals and technical information.
• Knowledge of routine maintenance and repair procedures for a range of construction and power generating equipment.
• Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems.
• Attend required Level I Electrician training classes.
• Communicate details of technical problems to supervisors.
• Notify service manager of suspected customer damage immediately upon identification.
• Notify service manager immediately of any work hazards, accidents, injuries, or near mishaps.
• Informs Service Supervisor of spare parts requirements, or when using stock parts from inventory for power systems equipment repair.
• Follow construction and power generating equipment repair priority list as established by the Service Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use safe working practices and maintain safety in the field and workshop.
• Maintain and secure work tools, machines and power systems equipment.
• Turn off and lock out power systems equipment when not in use.
• Minimize expense time on all jobs.
• Maximize productivity on all jobs.
• Instruct customers as needed to safe operation of construction and power generating equipment.
• Maintain a positive company attitude and appearance when servicing power systems equipment at all times in order to meet customer satisfaction expectations.
• Transport components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.
• Daily inspection of power systems equipment being returned from rental to meet quality control standards for safe and efficient operation.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• All of management requests, special assignment or projects to be completed within the specified timeframe.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from an accredited technical school with emphasis on electric or electronic repair may be substituted for experience.
• Successful completion of apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge of construction and power generating equipment, marine and commercial engines sold by the company.
• Theories and applications of electrical and electronic systems.
• Be able to read and understand any kind of electric schematics.
• Can perform basic troubleshooting steps for electrical and electronics problems.
• Positive "can do" attitude with a passion for customer service.
• Collaborative worker and teambuilding ability.
• Confident, assertive self-starter who is extremely organized and goal driven.
• Knowledge of Azerbaijani, English (beginner), Turkish and Russian.
• Basic computer skills-user level (MS Office usage).
• Valid Class B driver's license required.
• Ability to travel on occasion.
