Project Officer

PRIMA is a consulting company strives to develop and mobilize knowledge, expertise and abilities to support sustainable development. PRIMA’s network engages best local experts in different sectors, including economy, public finance, institutional and capacity building.

Recently, our Business Development team has been commissioned to deliver incremental benefits by enabling Prima to grow new partnerships and to develop new paths to regional markets. The Project Officer position provides assistance to this team with performing its functions.

Major duties:

 Assistance in preparation of project concept papers and tender documents
 Communicate with consulting companies/experts for potential/on-going projects
 Arranging project meetings and other events, take minutes of meetings as required
 Maintain accurate records of projects and experts/partner consulting companies database
 Respond to enquiries about possible consultancy projects, providing information and advice to actual/potential clients
 Assistance in preparation of company profile presentations and PR materials
 Assistance in keeping corporate website content updated

Functional requirements:

 Due to the international element of the role, you must have language skills, most importantly English and Russian to a high standard.
 At least, one year of relevant experience.
 Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
 Project management skills and experience is desirable.

Work conditions:

 Location & travelling: Mainly in Baku (95%). Occasionally, related with projects, you may have to travel abroad or other countrywide cities (5%).
 Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm, 5 days a week, on working days. Extra hours may sometimes be needed, especially if you are up against a tight deadline or if there are problems to resolve.
 Paid annual leave, two times a year x 15 days = 30 days, first application for leave can be provided after 6 months of employment.
 Free lunch is provided at the office.
 Training opportunities: The majority of training will be done ‘on-the-job’ under the supervision of the supervisor or project manager. However, you may get the opportunity to take part in in-house training sessions too.

Salary:

Salary is composed of fixed and variable components. You can see information on fixed portion below. Project benefits/fees are variable, which is not included and will be determined on a project base per involvement degree/role.

 Probation period is one month (1 month).
 Fixed salary is for the 1st year 800 AZN (net).
 For the next years, it will be negotiated in the end of 1st year, based on performance evaluation process.

Self-development target:

 Candidate should complete Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ® qualification (for detailed information see http://www.pmi.org/certifications/types/certified-associate-capm) during first six month of employment. The candidate will be requested to register and purchase study materials during probation period.
 Study material and exam costs will be reimbursed upon successful completion.
