Responsible for the technical maintainance of the equipment.
Key responsibilities:
To technically maintain and repair, under control of the Rig Mechanic, drilling rig motors(1500 kva), diesel-electric units, fuel-oil storage tanks, compressors, pneumatic system, transmission and electric equipment; as well as of the motors and gas turbine motors(1500+ kva)
To safely maintain area and monitor diesel motors and power units
To assist in the removal / installation and testing of new and overhauled equipment
To accurately maintain shift logs and records
To advise on and maintain adequate spare parts and tools stocks.
Required general qualifications:
• Professionally qualified as a Motorman;
• At least 2 years of experience in discipline;
• Team player.
