We are currently looking for highly-motivated, competent candidates who display exemplary safety behaviour and aspire to the highest standards of work ethics to fill the following vacancy in new projects:
Welder
Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of welding and associated work to the required standards.
Key responsibilities:
To comply with labour and production rules;
To operate within the requirements of SOCAR AQS SSOW;
To pre-check and risk assess worksite;
To ensure all necessary degreasing and removal of flammables before hot work commences;
To conduct and maintain continuous gas testing throughout any period of hotwork
To ensure adequate fire protection and observation throughout and for an appropriate period after completion of hot work;
To ensure Manual Handling and Materials Handling rules and practices are applied at all times when transporting gas cylinders etc.;
To ensure that all cables and hoses are routed correctly and do not present a trip hazard.
To ensure that gas cylinders and hoses etc. are clear of electric lines and equipment;
To ensure that all hot work tools and equipment are well maintained and in a safe and clean condition;
To ensure, on completion of the work, that each worksite is clean and tidy with all tools and equipment returned to storage.
Required general qualifications:
Initial professional education in welder;
At least 2 years of experience in discipline;
Team player.
