The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking for its Sub-delegation in Barda a candidate, male or female, for the position of:
 
Veterinarian /EcoSec Field Officer (Grade 5)

Minimum required knowledge & experience:

 University degree in Veterinary, Zootechnics or Animal Production
 2 years work experience in a similar field, an asset
 Fluency in written and spoken English and Azerbaijani. Russian is an asset
 Team leadership skills
 Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment
 Good analytical skills
 Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

 Advice and support EcoSec (Economic and Security) Delegate with the implementation of livestock programs
 Design and contribute to the implementation of relevant emergency interventions.
 Training and coaching of the EcoSec team on the livestock approach and related activities.
 Ensure appropriate internal technical reporting.
 Attend relevant external coordination meetings.
 Together with EcoSec field delegates, organise the planning and organise coaching of livestock Field Officers.
 Coordinate and implement at the region
 In close collaboration with field EcoSec delegates, coordinate and implement livestock programs with relevant local authorities and actors.

This is a full-time position with a duty station in Barda, and a selected candidate will be hired as soon as possible.
