The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking for its Sub-delegation in Barda a candidate, male or female, for the position of:
 
EcoSec Field Officer (Grade 4)

Minimum required knowledge & experience:

• Secondary school or college, high education (university or institute) is asset
• Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar field of activity, an asset
• Very good computer knowledge and skills
• Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
• Good communication skills
• Rigor method and analytical skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Azerbaijani. Russian is an asset
• Possession of valid driver's licence and proven driving experience is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Executes field tasks  under supervision of Senior Field Officer
• Contributes in the implementation and follow up of EcoSec (Economic Security) activities
• Supervises staff and volunteers of Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society during EcoSec field activities
• Maintains contacts with local RC Branches, local authorities and non-governmental organizations
• Makes written reporting on the activities, contributes to data analytical reports
• Supports efficiently any relief operation
• Translates non-institutional documents

This is a full-time position with a duty station in Barda, and a selected candidate will be hired as soon as possible.
